Anna Gronseth and Town Hall Prairies

Greater Prairie Chicken by MN DNRFeatures: These two sites are both owned by The Nature Conservancy. Together, they encompass 1,540 acres and are excellent examples of native tallgrass prairie.

Best Times To Visit: April through October.

Birds To Look For: Northern Harrier; American Kestrel; Sandhill Crane; Yellow Rail; Greater Prairie Chicken; Sedge Wren; Marbled Godwit; Alder & Willow Flycatchers; prairie sparrows.

Notes For Birding The Area: Waterproof footgear recommended. No established trails. Foot traffic O.K.
