Dunton Locks County Park

Habitat: Lakes, marshes and woodlands.

Features: County park located 2-1/2 miles south of Detroit Lakes. There are hiking and bike trails in the park as well as two picnic shelters. A wonderful feature is a restored waterway between Muskrat Lake and Lake Sallie. The Detroit Lakes DNR office is located adjacent
to this county park.

Best Times To Visit: May through October.

Birds To Look For: Common Loon, Red-necked Grebe, waterfowl, woodpeckers, vireos, warblers and finches.
