Waubun Wildlife Management Area

Habitat: Tallgrass prairie, cattail/sedge marsh, wet meadow.

Best Times To Visit: April through June.

Birds To Look For: Northern Harrier, Greater Prairie-Chicken, Yellow Rail, Sandhill Crane, prairie sparrows including Nelson's Sharp-tailed.

Notes For Birding The Area: Rails may not be present during dry years. Foot traffic permitted. Waterproof footgear recommended.
